Break Things Down
"𝘛𝘩𝘦
𝘴𝘦𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘥 𝘪𝘴 𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨
𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘦𝘥. 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘦𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘦𝘥
𝘪𝘴 𝘣𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘹, 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨
𝘵𝘢𝘴𝘬𝘴 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘮𝘢𝘭𝘭, 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘨𝘦𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘵𝘢𝘴𝘬𝘴, 𝘢𝘯𝘥
𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵 𝘰𝘯𝘦." – Mark Twain
You've
probably heard that before, but I think it bears repeating. It's the
kind of thing that we tend to forget when we are feeling overwhelmed.
"𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘥𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘦𝘢𝘵 𝘢𝘯 𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘱𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘵? 𝘖𝘯𝘦 𝘣𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘢𝘵 𝘢 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦."
When
you get overwhelmed by a task or project, remember to break it down
into smaller, achievable steps.
This really helps to keep us from
feeling swamped and allows us to accomplish them one at a time.
That's
the key: focus on the steps one at a time.
Complete the 1st step.
Success.
Complete the 2nd step. Success.
And so on. By doing that, you
establish a pattern of success that helps to propel you forward to
success in completing the larger goal.
