When you make a mistake, learn from it.

You can only make progress towards attaining the life you desire if you learn from your mistakes.

Don’t try to stop making mistakes, because that’s impossible. The more you try, the more mistakes you’ll make, of that you can be certain.

Be relaxed in your day-to-day life and act without being afraid of failing. Be bold and do things that bring you closer to the life you want. Liberate yourself through action.

When you make a mistake, analyze it immediately and determine what worked and what didn’t. Try to understand where and when you made a bad choice or a wrong decision.

Be humble. Before you blame someone else, admit that you may have made a mistake. Don’t deny you’ve failed and blame exterior circumstances. That’s the worst possible attitude to adopt.

Analyze your behavior objectively. Look at it from all angles, and find the fault or faults that caused you to fail. And don’t worry, it’s not a catastrophe – everyone fails at some time or other.

Don’t judge yourself, or think that by throwing the first stone your ideas or your being have no value, because you’re incapable of succeeding. Above all, don’t give up!

Recognize your errors, understand why you failed, and learn from it! Only then can you make progress.

Seven Quick Fixes to Feel Better

Anxiety and fear dissipate quickly when countered with conscious breathing.

The signals our bodies use to tell us we need to cleanse ourselves physically, mentally, and emotionally are multifaceted and often mirror symptoms we associate with illness. If we heed these signs, we not only feel better quickly but also stave off poor health before it can start. These quick fixes for common ailments can get you started.

1. Applying pressure to the acupressure point between the thumb and forefinger can release blockages causing pain, tension, and fatigue. You can relieve a headache naturally by squeezing for 20 seconds and releasing for 10 seconds, without letting go, four times.

2. To breathe freely, irrigate your nasal passages with a neti pot and warm salt water. As you clear and soothe the sinuses, congestion associated with allergies or infection will gradually disappear.

3. Apple cider vinegar is a powerful purifying and detoxifying agent. Soaking for 20 minutes in a warm bath infused with two cups of apple cider vinegar pulls toxins from the body and can clear blocked energy.

4. The foods you eat can have a profound impact on your outlook and mood. Eating a small yet satisfying meal rich in complex carbohydrates can lift your spirit and help you let go of feelings of anger, irritability, and depression.

5. Anxiety and fear dissipate quickly when countered with conscious breathing because concentrating on the breath enables you to refocus your attention inward. You can ground yourself and regain your usual calm by taking a series of deep belly breaths as you visualize your feet growing roots that stretch miles down into the earth.

6. Though tuning out can seem counterproductive, a few minutes spent lost in daydreams or listening to soothing music can help you see your circumstances from a new angle when you feel frustrated.

7. If you feel ill health coming on, brew a wellness elixir. Simmer three sliced lemons, one teaspoon freshly grated ginger, one clove freshly minced garlic, and one quarter teaspoon cayenne pepper in five cups water until the lemons are soft and pale. Strain a portion into a mug and add honey by tablespoons until you can tolerate the taste. Drinking this potent mixture of antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal ingredients three times each day can ensure your symptoms never progress into a full-blown illness.

Ideas for motivation

Here is one word to live by in every aspect of your life. This video outlines how you can be the best at everything you do, just like the greats of sports, business and politics.

Passion and motivation are key factors in going forward in life. CEO Peter Bregman provides the following tips:

Why do many people have trouble focusing on what really needs to get done?

For a few reasons. First of all, there’s so much to do – and everything is screaming for attention – that it’s hard to distinguish what’s important and what’s peripheral. Everything seems important. In the face of so many things to do, it’s hard to distinguish what really matters.

Also, we tend to procrastinate most on the things that are most important to us. We are afraid of failure – if something is really important to me and I don’t succeed, what would that say about me and my future? – So we have trouble even getting started on the things that matter most to us. In those situations, we need to force ourselves to begin. Start in the morning, before opening your email.

What 18 minutes can help you really accomplish.

18 Minutes is not a lot of time. But spread throughout the day it can have an incredible impact. Divide the 18 minutes into 5 minutes in the morning, 1 minute each hour, and 5 minutes in the evening. Use the morning minutes to get focused, hourly minutes to regain focus, and the evening minutes to recap, learn, and prepare for the next day. 18 minutes creates a structure to the day that helps to get your most important things done.

Should you try and get all your work done by the end of the day?

It is unlikely that you will ever get “all” your work done. For most of us, there’s simply too much to do for any human being to get it all done. Instead, we have to figure out what the “right” things are to get done.

Choose things that matter most and also choose things that you are willing to ignore. Then ignore the things that don’t matter and schedule what you want to get done onto your calendar. If you decide when and where you are going to do something, you’ll get it done. If you don’t, you won’t. We should all be working off our calendars, not our task lists.

What are the four elements that form the foundation of your success and happiness?

We are most happy when we are working at the intersection of our strengths, weaknesses, differences, and passions. That’s our sweet spot. When we are making full use of our strengths, leveraging (not developing) our weaknesses, doing things we are uniquely qualified and positioned to do, and spending our time on activities that give us energy because we love them, then we will be successful and happy.

Stop Self Sabotage Behaviour

Stop Self Sabotage

Having trouble reaching all your goals?

Are you going for what you want, but feeling like something is road-blocking
the way?

Are you finding yourself “not” doing some of the
things you know you should be doing?

You may be a victim of sabotage---self-sabotage. How do you
know, and what can you do about it? Read on and see.

1. Focusing on what is not working, not right or missing
from your life.

Problem: Notice how often you speak about and think about
what is not working, not right, or missing from your life.
This only attracts more of the things you don’t want.

Action: Ask yourself a new question: "What's going right?"
or "What IS working?" Begin to notice all the things, no
matter how small, that are working well. Keep an evidence
journal and each day write down everything, I do mean
everything, that is working and you will attract more of
what is working!

2. Being stuck in fear:

Problem: Do you worry a lot about the future and what is
going to happen or might happen? Are you thinking about your
fears so much that you are paralyzed and take no action
because of fear of what might occur?

Action: It is time to put your focus on the present. We
can't control or predict the future or other people's
behaviors. All we can control is our own, right here, right
now.

Ask yourself the question "What is the worst thing that
could happen?" Then, let go and know that rarely do the
scenarios we create in our heads occur. Take a moment to put
things into perspective by writing down the things you can
not change, the things you want to change, and accept that
the Universe, God, Spirit, whatever you call it will take of
the rest. It always does!

3. Feeling you have no value.

Problem: Do you forget all your accomplishments and lack
pride in who you are and what you have accomplished? If you
obsess about the past or your lack of success or lack of
achievement, then you'll be stuck in noticing how much you
lack as a person. If you often criticize yourself or can't
accept compliments, it’s a definite sign that you have
fallen into this trap.

Action: You can choose to notice what you do that is good
and the things you can be proud of, no matter how small they
may seem. Each day keep a log of what you are grateful for
about YOU. When you hear your mind chattering about what you
haven't done right or well, turn down the volume and turn up
the volume to hear the voice that knows the TRUTH about who
you are and how you add value to the world.

Acknowledge yourself for at least 5 things each and every
day that you did well. Each day, compliment yourself on
something you did that you feel good about. Notice your
small successes and accept the compliments others give you.

4. Comparing yourself to others.

Problem: Do you constantly compare yourself to others and
then feel badly when compared to them? Comparison doesn't
motivate us to do more or be better, instead it makes us
feel we'll never be good enough and we aren't right now.

Action: Write out the 5 qualities you like best about
yourself. Then write out what you value most in your life.
When you go to a place of comparison, notice how similar you
are with the other person vs. what is different. Begin to
create a list of adjectives that describe you - at least 25
positive words about your greatness. Whenever you notice
yourself in a comparison mode, think of some of the
adjectives that describe YOU.

5. Self-Sabotage – getting what you want and then losing it.

Problem: Do you not believe that you deserve to have what
you want? When you get what you want, why do you often lose
it or mess it up? What is the true story underneath - maybe
that you think aren't good enough to have it?

Action: List all the things you have accomplished that faded
away. Simply notice these things, but don’t place any
judgment on the fact they disappeared. How did they bring
you satisfaction? How did they make you feel? What is the
limiting belief that you have that tells you inside why you
can't have what you want? Be quiet, be still and listen to
it.

Write down how you felt when you had what you wanted. Write
down how you feel now, without it. Then write a "bridge
belief": A very, very small belief that feels a little bit
better than what you now feel. Each week, create a new
bridge belief, not matter how small, that you can really
believe. By using these bridges as stepping-stones, you'll
shift your limiting beliefs slowly and be on the other side
of the bridge and able to maintain it because you will have
a new belief inside of you.

6. You chase away relationships.

Problem: Do you always feel something is missing in your
relationships or find fault with the other person? Perhaps
you are afraid of intimacy. Underneath this is usually a
fear of abandonment or exposure that causes you to distance
yourself from others.

Action: Create a list of the qualities you value in a
relationship and the qualities you want to attract in your
partners. Express what you want and don't want to the other
person and allow them to express the same to you. Create
time to acknowledge the other person on a regular basis.
Notice when you feel afraid. Don't try to push the feelings
away. Know that the feelings are there and that is fine.
Then, in that moment, focus on what feels good about the
relationship.

7. Having no purpose.

Problem: Do you feel you have no purpose in life? We all
have some purpose for being on the planet and it is time to
notice yours.

Action: Write down all the things that are important to you
– the thing you want to create in your life. Then write out
what you want to contribute to the world. From your writing,
create a statement of purpose for yourself that you can read
each and every day.

Then stop worrying about not knowing your purpose and start
creating what you desire now. It doesn’t matter what you
want in the future. So start creating something you want in
your life NOW. This action will ultimately put you in
alignment and bring you closer to your overall purpose.

No it's time to TAKE ACTION!

Time Management Tips, How To Focus & Get More Done.

If you're like me, there never seems enough time in the day for all the things you want to do, I post this to remind myself, and hopefully help others.  Time management is an issue for me but these help.

Quick tip: If you have anxiety or are stressed out with all the tasks you need to complete try this:

1. Write down the things in your head you know you need to do, either on paper or on the computer. This will unload your mind from all the items you have been thinking about and it will give you a great idea of what you are dealing with.

2. Start with the first task and make sure you cross off each item as you complete it. This will relieve your mind of many stresses of our daily life and give you a sense of accomplishment as you see progress with your to do list.

3. Take action even as you add to the list and don't let it daunt you. Take things one step at a time.

Organizing your thoughts and making them real on paper give you the ability to assess the situation and take proper action to execute and to make progress in your daily tasks or in your professional life.

Let me know if there is anything else that has worked for you.

In the Sand

We often don’t really live our lives. We think about the past, or project ourselves into the future, and forget all about the present.

The present moment is the only thing that matters. The past is over, and the future hasn’t happened yet. You should perform each gesture in full awareness of that, at every moment.

That’s the way to calm the wandering of your mind and keep you anchored in the present moment.

When you walk, be aware you’re walking. Don’t think about anything else.

Be conscious of your breathing, and don’t think about anything else.

When you eat, be conscious that you’re eating. Don’t think about anything else.

When you’re out in Nature, take pleasure being in its presence. Don’t think about anything else.

And so on…

Slow down, walk more slowly, eat more slowly, breathe more slowly. Be as fully conscious as you can, in everything you do.

When you walk, be aware of each step.

When you breathe, be aware of each breath.

When you eat, be aware of each mouthful.

When you’re in Nature, become one with it.

If you’re fully conscious, your existence will become a chain of constructive thoughts, words and deeds that will lift you higher.

You’ll be able to stop asking yourself questions about the past and the future, and feel happy in your awareness, as you finally start living in the here-and-now.
